Because Delicacies by Sheri is an independently owned small commercial bakery, we are able to offer a large variety of peanut & nut free menu options. Although we do use these items in our bakery, our entire staff - dishwashers, bakers & decorators, alike - is rigidly trained in sanitation and safety procedures to insure that cross contamination does not occur. When informed of a peanut or nut free allergy, all utensils, pans and surface areas that may come into contact with the item being made is thoroughly cleaned and sanitized prior to and often during production. We do not even bake items containing nuts at the same time allergy free items are being baked! Although we regularly use an Almond Flavoring in many of out items, it is 100% imitation (no oils or extracts of almond is present) and will not pose a threat. We are confident that those with nut allergies will be quite safe, however those with extreme sensitivity should consider other options. Delicacies by Sheri is not responsible should any reaction occur. If an allergy of any kind is an issue, we must be informed when the order is placed so that all of the proper precautions can be taken.
